Shen Yutong, while trying to save someone, is involved in a car accident and unexpectedly travels into the world of the novel she had been reading. She finds herself in the body of the Chief Eunuch of the Eastern Bureau, a high-ranking official who is disguised as a man. Just after her arrival, Shen Yutong witnesses the Chief Eunuch framing loyal officials, massacring their entire families, which causes fury among the Crown Prince and the court ministers. Using her knowledge of the novel's plot, Shen Yutong discovers that her true identity is the daughter of the Prime Minister, and the mastermind behind the Chief Eunuch is the Empress. To protect the Prime Minister's family and the Crown Prince, Shen Yutong enters a battle of wits with the Empress. To her surprise, the Crown Prince is able to hear Shen Yutong's thoughts...
