Li Mo, an ordinary courier, has one goal: to save enough money for a down payment on a house and the bride price to marry Ning Ruyue. While in a remote suburb, he coincidentally witnesses the headmaster of the Changsheng Sect undergoing a thunder tribulation. By helping the old sect master successfully pass the tribulation, Li Mo is taken as a closed-door disciple and taught the Changsheng Sect’s martial arts. He eventually inherits the position of the sect master, with his senior sister, Qing Luan, fully supporting him.
