SYNOPSIS
Eight years ago, Lin Xiu entrusted her daughter, Ping'an, to her uncle while she worked abroad to pay off debts. When Lin Xiu finally returns to bring her daughter home on her 12th birthday, she learns that Ping'an has been neglected and abused by her aunt. After suffering in silence, Ping'an dies waiting for her mother, who arrives too late. In a cruel twist, Lin Xiu's wealthy status leads her to erase any trace of Ping'an's death, but the truth is eventually exposed. Overcome with guilt, Lin Xiu kneels at her daughter’s grave, but it's too late to undo the harm.
